MeshWeave privacy

MeshWeave is a live Starlink constellation globe for iPhone and iPad, with a web globe at vibealive.us/apps/meshweave. It plots public spacecraft element sets on a 3D Earth. The App Store build can optionally lock onto a Starlink user terminal on your local network. The web globe cannot. It is free. It is not an official SpaceX, Starlink, or xAI product.

Accounts

MeshWeave does not create an account, sign-in, or user profile. Apple’s in-app account-deletion rule does not apply. There is nothing to delete on a server. Layer colors you save stay in this browser or on this iPhone until you clear site data or delete the app.

What MeshWeave collects

MeshWeave does not run ads, analytics SDKs, or tracking. There are no in-app purchases.

Precise location is used only if you turn on Location / This dish. On iPhone, grant Apple’s When In Use permission. On the web, grant the browser’s location prompt. Coordinates stay on this device to place a pin on the globe. They are never uploaded, sold, or used for advertising. Turning tracking off stops using location.

Local network (iPhone and iPad app only) is used only to read GPS and look angle from a Starlink dish at 192.168.100.1 on your LAN. That traffic does not leave your network. Join Starlink Wi-Fi or the poll fails.

Web globe at vibealive.us cannot reach 192.168.100.1. A public HTTPS page cannot call that HTTP LAN address, and the host is not on your Starlink network. Location on the web uses the browser’s geolocation and a modeled look at the highest cataloged bird. It does not read the dish boresight.

Catalog and maps

Satellite positions are loaded from public CelesTrak element sets (Supplemental GP / GP). Gateway markers come from a public community list of earth stations. Those requests do not include your location or Apple ID.
